AUDITION INFORMATION
In the spirit of modern technological advancements, Mountain Majesty Indoor Winds auditions will take place in a virtual format.
The deadline for entries is Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:00pm MT.
Please record a video of yourself performing your section's requirements, listed below, and post that video to YouTube using your first and last name, your instrument(or Color Guard), and "Mountain Majesty Audition" as the title.
After posting the video to YouTube, please paste the link here.
Then please submit your audition payment of $35 here.
No audition will be judged without payment.
This fee goes to pay for the adjudication panel that will be viewing the audition videos and scoring each performance. This payment will also serve as a paid portion of the overall fee for the ensemble for those selected. There are no refunds for any reason.
By submitting a video, you are accepting responsibility for your attendance in rehearsal and in performance if selected as part of the ensemble. Regular rehearsals will be held on Sundays from 5:30pm until 8:30pm at the Regency Student Housing facility on the Auraria campus in Denver.

Then you are asked to choose 5 scales and arpeggios to perform (2 octaves for woodwinds, 1 octave for brass) and a piece(no longer than 5 minutes in length) which the auditionee feels best shows off their musical talent, their tone quality, and/or their technical ability.

The fee for the Indoor Winds season is $650 total. This goes to pay for uniform rental, travel expenses, competitive fees, and rehearsal space fees. The $35 audition fee will count as part of the overall season fee for those accepted. Those not accepted will not receive a refund for their audition fee.
Do not let the Indoor Winds season fee scare you away if you cannot afford it. There will be ample opportunity for fundraising to acquire the fee for those who need such a means to pay it.
The deadline for payment on the overall season fee will be decided upon at the first rehearsal in January. This fee must be paid before our first competitive performance in either late February or early March.
The list of those selected will be published in the "News" tab at 5:00pm MT on Saturday, December 26, 2016.
